Asana + Alchemy

Where shape becomes shift, and practice becomes power. All levels welcome. All of you is welcome.

Thursday, October 9 - Monday, October 13, 2025
Oakhurst, California

Tucked into the golden Sierra foothills just outside Yosemite National Park, Asana + Alchemy is a 5-day, 4-night retreat designed for transformation from the inside out.

Each day begins with a dynamic vinyasa practice and ends with slow, soulful movement under wide mountain skies. You’ll breathe, move, and melt into your mat as the foothills hold space for whatever you’re ready to release or invite in.

Between practices, enjoy nourishing vegan meals prepared by nutritionist Madie Sears, soak in the hot tub, or explore optional offerings like on-site massage, tea blending, or a lake day at nearby Bass Lake. Our optional park day invites awe and reflection in Yosemite’s wide, wonder-filled spaces.

This retreat isn’t about perfect poses. It’s about what happens inside the shape, where the movement meets the meaning. It’s an invitation to feel deeply, shift gently, and remember the magic that’s always been yours.

Come as you are. Leave a little more you.

Here’s what’s waiting for you:

  • 5 days / 4 nights in a cozy mountain home near Yosemite National Park

  • Twice daily yoga (vinyasa + restorative) on the deck under open skies

  • Delicious vegan meals prepared in-house by nutritionist Madie Sears

  • On-site hot tub for sunset soaks and starry nights

  • Optional Yosemite excursion day, massage therapy services, and lake day at nearby Bass Lake (kayak, boat ride, or lounge by the shore)

  • Hands-on tea blending workshop; create your own custom herbal blend

  • Spacious afternoons to rest, wander, and reconnect

  • Our home base is a private home located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Oakhurst, CA.

  • Due to the upfront costs associated with planning a retreat, this retreat has a no-refund policy. I understand that no one books a retreat with the intention of canceling, however sometimes things happen and plans need to be changed, so I highly recommend purchasing travel insurance and COVID insurance.*

*I highly recommend purchasing COVID travel insurance to cover trip expenses should you test positive for COVID. The week of our 2022 Truckee retreat, 4 participants tested positive for COVID and were unable to attend.

If you do cancel with enough notice, we will do everything in our power to fill your spot, and if your spot is filled we will be happy to refund you (minus a small booking fee). If we cannot fill it you will still be responsible for the payment.

If I need to cancel this retreat for any reason, I will, of course, provide you with a full refund.

  • All participants are required to submit proof of vaccination, booster, and a *negative COVID test.

*We highly recommend purchasing insurance to cover trip expenses should you test positive for COVID.

  • During intake, we will ask folks if they are interested in carpooling (either offering a ride, or finding a ride). While we cannot guarantee that someone will be able to give you a ride, we will connect you with anyone else who is open to/interested in carpooling.

  • Each day will include two yoga practices: a strong, dynamic morning flow and a slower, grounding evening session.

Morning classes will be a creative vinyasa flow; expect a blend of heat-building asana woven with movements inspired by dance, functional neurology, and trauma-informed yoga. You'll explore familiar shapes in new ways, shifting between different orientations (think lying down, standing, even balancing on your hands!) with plenty of options offered throughout so you can choose what feels best in your body.

Evening classes will be a slow flow into restorative shapes, with longer holds and a chill, stretchy vibe. These sessions will also include breathwork, gentle nerve mobilizations, and extended savasana to help you fully settle and reset at the end of the day.

  • Beginners are absolutely welcome (and I often have folks in my classes who are brand new to the practice), though the classes are not geared specifically toward beginners.

I teach in a style that has lots of options throughout so folks can choose between options that may be more athletic/advanced and options that are less so. Teaching through a trauma-informed lens, I celebrate folks making the choices that feel best in their bodies, so my classes will often have folks hopping into arm balances next to folks exploring non-balancing options. That said, I do love the energy of moving with a little more rigor and dynamism! In terms of the retreat setting, the morning classes will be a more dynamic style, and the evening classes will be mellower/stretchier. A retreat setting can be a lovely immersion for someone newer to the practice as there will be more opportunities to ask questions and receive individual attention!

  • We will send all registered attendees a questionnaire and will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions.

  • I will send out a packing list as the retreat approaches, but you’ll want to make sure to bring your yoga mat, a swimsuit, sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses), lots of layers, your favorite yoga wear, and shoes for lounging (sandals/flip flops) and hiking (hiking boots/sneakers).

  • Yes! During intake I will ask you if you would like to opt into pre-trip group communication via WhatsApp. We’ll also use the WhatsApp group to send out updates/reminders/schedule changes throughout the retreat.
